The
main equipment racks for the house were located just around the corner in
an unused hall closet, which backed up to the entertainment cabinets in
the family room. This allowed us to pass cables back and only locate the
equipment the client needed to get to in the Family Room, while keeping
the automation gear and whole house amplifiers out of the way.
This also allowed for easy service since both racks pull
out completely. We also located the cable, phone and network main in the
same closet to facilitate future capabilities.
We already control thirty-five light sets throughout
the home and have two other smaller media areas in the Master Bedroom and
Family Room. They each have a Panja Viewpoint Radio Frequency touch-panel
to make control easy and the same as in the Theater.
In addition to that, we have Panja DMS keypads throughout
other rooms in the house for whole house system control.
A Room Full of Surprises
This hidden door leads to a small room built for VCR, DVD, and CD. Now
that's thinking!
