GSD&M IDEA CITY Touch Panel
		To allow for complete easy-to-use control of the GSD&M Screening room, we installed a 10.4" color touch-panel with video.     The touch-panel has two modes of operation: On the front page you simply push the button for what you want to happen (DVD, VCR, SAT, etc.), and it takes you to watch that and sets the room up appropriately - even dimming the lights and opening the curtains over the screen and setting the correct screen aspect ratio for the source.     In its Advanced Mode, an experienced user can use the video window to actually preview video and cue it up while watching another source, keeping the dead space in a meeting to a minimum.     The touch-panel also has a security code to keep the room from being used when a meeting is not in progress. Without it, the room is impossible to use. With it the room is a breeze to use.
