On
this project we had the pleasure of designing a new theatre for a customer
from a previous project. By taking what the client knew about the old
system and putting it together with the then new technology, we were able
to meet all the client's requirements and provide them a system truly
tailored to their needs.
In this particular Home Theater and Home Automation System, the client's
main demand was ease of use and overall simplicity. They entertain a great
deal and wanted to be able to set the house up easily and quickly with
minimal fuss.
To do this we installed a P.H.A.S.T. control
system from Panja, concentrating on simplicity. The client could control
lights, audio, video, cameras and the home theater all from the Touch-panel
in the picture, as well as Phillips Prontos in the Master Bedroom and
Family Room Television locations. We also had DMS keypads from Panja in
key locations throughout the house.
The Theater / Game-room was designed with entertaining
in mind. Really created as a dual-purpose room, we had to come up with
a way to easily transform the space from one to another quickly and easily.
By using the Panja control system in conjunction with automatic blinds,
screen and lighting, the client could push one button and start the Theater
up, lower the blinds and drop the lights and screen.
This automation made the room easy to use and simple to switch over.
