This job presented Dyer's
Custom Install Team an opportunity to show off it's abilities and put
their best foot forward with a top-of-the-line system install. Initially,
the customer had envisioned a simple flip-down video screen and VCP and
some wireless headphones.
As he began investigating
the possibilities, the customer learned that quite a bit more was possible
than he thought. He gave the green light to build a system that would
not only impress, but be enjoyable for every passenger in the vehicle.

The customer's response to the
finished product was so favorable, he even asked if there was anything else
we could possibly do to make this system even more outstanding and impressive.
One of the things we did was add a center channel for movie dialog. |

In order for this job to really work, to look and sound flawless,
it required a lot of pre-planning. One result of this planning was the realization
that the installation should be done somewhat in reverse, which meant that
the interior was stripped, Dynamatted, and all the wiring was done and then
the vehicle's interior was reassembled. This allowed for all acoustical
and cosmetic factors to be in place when the sound and video placement was
designed.
The result was a system
that sounded incredible and looked like it was done at the factory. |

The process that the Custom
Team used worked so well that it allowed for an amazing amount of equipment
to be installed, yet the vehicle remained uncluttered.
Truly every aspect of this job was custom, from the installation of the
head unit, to the custom fabricated fiberglass enclosure, to the internally
mounted radar detector. It is truly "one of a kind, " and the
customer couldn't be happier.
The installers enjoyed the ego
boost of showing that they were as good as they really knew they were, and
now they have pictures to prove it... |
